What is Western OTB? Actually, we are a public benefit corporation with a non-profit charter located in an area comprised of 15 western counties of New York State and the two cities of Buffalo and Rochester. Western OTB (Western Regional Off-Track Betting Corporation) operates 37 branch outlets over a 10,000 square mile area.
OTB has numerous branch outlets where wagers can be placed and races viewed. In addition, OTB operates "Super Branches" where food and alcoholic beverages are served. These enhanced branches include Amherst Turfside Sportsplex, Phoenix OTB, Wehrle OTB with Champions Sports Bar, and Auburn OTB with Kim's Trackside Tavern. These facilities generally have over 100 TVs to put you trackside for all the action.
The company also operates a Teletheater in Niagara Falls, NY. The Teletheater is located at 1201 Main Street in the Falls and offers on-track prices to horse bettors.
OTB also operates a telephone betting center where customers with an account may call using toll-free lines to place wagers, obtain up-to-the-minute race information including track conditions, jockey and driver changes, scratches and race results.
As a public benefit corporation OTB returns all its profits to the local governments it represents. The objectives of OTB are to promote horse racing, provide revenues to state and local governments and to diminish the role of illegal bookmakers.
